About Me

I believe I have the best job in the world because as an Occupational Therapist (OT), I get to empower individuals to be as independent as possible in the things that mean the most to them.

 

With a background working in inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, I have experience working with many diverse patient populations and with many severely debilitated patients. Often times, when patients first come in, they are unable to perform the basic activities that make up our day, such as putting on a shirt, bathing, cooking a meal, getting out of bed, or walking. By the end of their therapy journey, it is amazing to see how patients are able to care for themselves again and regain their independence.

As an OT, I noticed a lack of intensive, quality therapy services that are offered in the home. I decided to start Thrive Home Therapy & Design because I can attest to the benefit that intensive services can provide and am passionate about delivering those services! 

​

I also have a passion for home modifications that allow patients to live in the optimal home environment that is set up to maximize their success in their daily activities. So often, therapy works to change the person to fit the environment. My services include intensive therapy to allow the patient to grow while also personalizing their environment to best suit them -- the perfect combination for safe, successful living in the home.

In my free time, I enjoy playing pickleball, exploring nature, spending time with my family and husband, and of course, cheering on the Florida Gators sports teams -- my alma matter!
